The
Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) and the Bannockburn
Primary School community is planning for a new school to meet the future educational
needs of our children.
We
are involved in the Building Futures planning process as we design a brand new
Prep – 9 school for Bannockburn. Working with our architects, James
Deans & Associates ,
we have developed a master plan for the new school. Our Master Plan has been approved
by DEECD. In the near future we will move to full cost planning when details of
a site for the new school are finalised.
Our planning for the new school
is built on best practice in educational design. A team of teachers and school
councillors have visited a number of schools to inform our decision making. The
new school will include features such as:
• An ICT rich environment

Opportunities for indoor and outdoor learning
• Flexible learning spaces
•
Design for personalised learning
• Specialist learning spaces
•
Sustainability and environment-friendly design and construction.We
will keep the community informed of progress towards our new school. |
